Private Dog Training
Do you want to know how to train a dog or even how to train a
puppy. Starting early with puppy training makes later dog training a
lot easier. Training a puppy or a dog is so much more effective and
speedier with the appropriate dog behavior knowledge and instruction
from a professional dog trainer.
Not everyone has the time nor inclination to attend dog training
classes and that not every dog is suitable to be taken to classes
therefore we can provide private one to one dog training sessions for
our clients usually during the daytime at a time to suit you. These
sessions can be tailored to your requirements and the personality of
your dog but will usually concentrate on bond building and dog obedience
training consisting of:
• Sit
• Down
• Stay
• Dog recall
training
• Walk on the lead nicely
It may be that you have
attended structured dog obedience classes and want to continue a
more personalised relationship building course with your dog, or now
want to start to expand your dog training with further real world
distractions outside the controlled environment of a dog training
hall.
Dogs need to use their brain. If you don't give them
tasks to use their brain, they will find tasks of their own to use
it. The more you train your dog, the more your dog will want
to train. Training does not need to be a regimented, formal
and boring process you feel you have to go through, if that is how
it feels, then both you and your dog will fail. Training does
need to be consistent, clear, timely, interesting and challenging
(too challenging and they will fail, not challenging enough and they
will be bored so wont focus). By challenging I mean mentally.
Most dogs can cope with any physical challenge but mental challenges
are totally different and give dogs a totally different kind of
enjoyment. Dogs need us to interact with them in an
interesting way but not in a way that can create manic behaviour
e.g. repetitive ball throwing or boredom.
Private dog training is also appropriate to address individual dog training problems such as dog recall training issues where the focus needs to be on one aspect of training.
Depending on owners’ requirements dog training can be at their homes, our home and may be taken outdoors at various times.
